The short version: this site has no accounts, no forms, no ads, and collects nothing by default. The only data processing is optional, anonymous visit statistics (Google Analytics), which run only if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner — and you can withdraw that consent at any time on this page.
This website (rhomita.com) is operated by Rhomita, an independent solo game developer, who acts as the data controller for any personal data processed through it. For anything related to your data, contact: dev [at] rhomita [dot] com.
1. Analytics (only with your consent). If — and only if — you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, this site loads Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies (such as _ga) and collects: pages viewed, clicks on links (for example, which game or social link you clicked), approximate location derived from your IP address (Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses), device and browser type, and visit duration. This is used solely to understand how the site is used. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you never click Accept, or click Decline, no Google code is loaded and no analytics data is collected at all.
2. Your cookie choice. Your Accept/Decline decision is stored in your browser's local storage (key: rhomita-consent) so you are not asked again on every visit. This is strictly necessary to honor your choice, stores no personal data, never leaves your browser, and remains until you clear your browser data or withdraw consent below.
3. Server logs. Like virtually all websites, the server hosting this site may keep standard access logs (IP address, browser user agent, time of request) for security and abuse prevention. These are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify or profile visitors. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the site secure.
4. Email. If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply to you, never add it to any mailing list, and never share it. The legal basis is legitimate interest in responding to your message, or your consent implied by writing to me.
The only third party involved is Google (Google Ireland Ltd. for visitors in the EEA/UK; Google LLC, USA), which processes analytics data on my behalf — and only after you consent. Transfers of data to the United States are covered by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from partner sites. No data is sold to anyone, ever, and no advertising or cross-site tracking of any kind takes place on this site.
You can withdraw your analytics consent at any time — it is as easy as giving it, and withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it:
This sets your choice to "declined" and removes Google Analytics cookies from your browser. You can also reopen the cookie banner via the "Cookies" link in the footer of the home page, or block analytics globally with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Under the GDPR (and the UK GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for example, the supervisory authority of your EU member state, or the ICO in the UK). If you are a California resident, you additionally have the rights granted by the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against — note that this site does not sell or share personal information as defined by that law.
In practice: this site holds no account or profile about you, so most requests will concern analytics data at Google or an email you sent me — write to the address above and I will handle it promptly.
This site is not directed at children and knowingly collects no data from anyone under 16.
